Hi,
I seem to have a lot of energy for submissions at the moment!
Well, thinking about different artists and different styles, I was thinking about old vintage art like Dan DeCarlo and Norman Rockwell and then I recalled seeing some classic Broadway posters.
Many of them were drawn by Tom Morrow (d 1995). He did many whimsical illustrations for the original productions of Broadway shows from the 1950s to the 1980s. His work was seen in print ads, on sheet music, in Playbills, on cast album covers and on posters - especially fun was his work for Scandale lingerie!
The garter strap is inspired by the nice little touches Morrow would include in his Scandale art.

Morrow also created show art for Auntie Mame, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Cabaret, Candide, Take Her, She's Mine and Norman Mailer's The Deer Park.
So, here's Velma. All excited - as Morrow's girls often were - her arms raised in joy as she steps proudly on her wooden leg.The garter strap is inspired by the nice little touches Morrow would include in his Scandale art.

Why did I miss this one on its first appearance! This is lovely - the colour is spectacular and I love the way you've used the negative space around Velma herself. She looks so happy! Beautiful version of her peg leg too! Fantastic!
